According to the report, the woman had made it a habit to eat boiled sweet potatoes every morning for an entire year. During a routine health checkup, doctors found that several of her health indicators—including blood sugar and blood lipid levels—remained stable, surprising her with positive results.

The woman, identified only by her surname Li from Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, said she developed the habit after learning about the nutritional value of sweet potatoes. Instead of relying on expensive health products, she chose to include this inexpensive root vegetable in her daily breakfast.

She explained that boiled sweet potatoes are filling, easy to prepare, and fit well into her daily routine. Most importantly, she was able to maintain the habit consistently for an entire year.

Doctors noted that while her health examination showed stable blood sugar and cholesterol levels, it would be inaccurate to conclude that sweet potatoes alone were responsible for these results.
